Think of a conversation here as a chat with someone you’ve just met on a walk. A little kindness, curiosity, and patience go a long way.
Make room for your neighbors
You don’t have to agree with everyone. Talk about the idea rather than the person, ask before assuming, and help newcomers feel welcome. Keep discussions connected to the park and neighborhood; leave out spam and repetitive promotion.
Share thoughtfully
Share words and pictures you created or have permission to use, and give credit when a license requires it. Make it clear when a picture is an illustration or a story is a recollection rather than a documented fact. Include a source and date when sharing an announcement.
Respect people’s privacy. Don’t share private messages, addresses, or contact details without permission. Ask before posting identifiable photos of others, especially children.
Turn an idea into a plan
A suggestion for a walk or meetup is a great start. Once an organizer confirms it, add a clear date, meeting point, and weather plan. A post here doesn’t reserve a park facility.
When something feels wrong
Use the flag control or email the administrator. Give us a chance to help instead of letting an argument grow.
Moderators may move, edit, or remove posts and restrict accounts to keep the community useful and welcoming. Public posts can be read and shared outside this site.
