Share a little of your day

Show us what caught your eye

A familiar view can look completely different through someone else’s camera. A changing season, a reflection, a tiny detail along the path—your photos help us see the lake together.

Share your first picture

  1. Open Photos & Wildlife and start a topic, or add your photo to an existing conversation.
  2. Use the upload button in the editor to choose your picture.
  3. Give it a title and tell us what caught your attention. Say roughly when you took it, especially for older photos.
  4. Describe the important details for neighbors who can’t see the image clearly.

Not sure what bird or plant you spotted? Ask! A clear picture and a few observations give others a good starting point.

A little care goes a long way

Share pictures you own or have permission to use. Ask before posting identifiable photos of others, and avoid revealing nest locations or other sensitive wildlife spots. Describe artwork as an illustration rather than a real sighting.

If your upload won’t go through

Images can be up to 5 MB. Try a smaller JPEG or PNG if your original is too large. Video uploads aren’t enabled yet.

Still stuck? Email us and tell us what happened.
